Our Focus Is The Adjustment
Getting you aligned is our priority!
There is no one technique that fits all. The traditional chiropractic adjustment is by hand. However, some individuals prefer only instrument adjusting or a combination of hand and instrument adjusting. There are also certain conditions that warrant gentle adjusting with an activator only. That is why we do our best to tailor your adjustment to your health goals and preferences.

Laughter Is Medicine
Have you ever been sitting in your car at a light and looked over and saw someone dancing and singing to their favorite song like they don’t have a care in the world? Maybe for you it was seeing a table of friends having dinner at a restaurant laughing and having so much fun you were dying to know what they were talking about and secretly wished you could join them. Perhaps you are secretly addicted to those reels of babies laughing or puppies playing. Whatever the memory may be for you, you know the feeling of what I am describing brings. It is an unadulterated moment of freedom and joy. That just for a brief moment you can share in that feeling too and let go of whatever weighs heavy on your heart and you feel relief. It is a feeling that you can’t put words to, but lingers in your heart and comforts you like a warm blanket. For me, that is what an adjustment is like and I hope that it is for you too.
Frequently Asked Questions
A chiropractor is a healthcare professional who focuses on the spine, nervous system and musculoskeletal system. They evaluate, diagnose and treat mechanical disorders of the spine and joints, especially those affecting nerve function and body alignment. At Abel Hands Chiropractic we believe your body has the ability to heal itself — our goal is to remove interference in the nervous system so your body can function at its best.
Chiropractors can help with a wide range of conditions — from low back pain and neck pain, to headaches, joint injuries, nerve-related issues like sciatica, and even some types of repetitive strain or workplace injury. At our clinic we emphasize adjustments tailored to your health goals and preferences.
- Relief of pain (low back pain, mid-back pain, neck pain, headaches, etc.)
- Improved joint mobility and function
- Reduced nerve interference → better nerve communication and overall body function
- Enhanced ability to recover from injury (for example sprains/strains, knee injury, shoulder pain)
- Support for wellness and prevention: maintaining alignment to avoid recurring problems
- Non-invasive, drug-free treatment options
On your first visit at Abel Hands Chiropractic:
- We'll review your health history and current symptoms/concerns.
- We’ll perform a physical exam, and if needed, we may refer you out for diagnostic tests (x-rays) to further evaluate your condition.
- If it’s safe and appropriate, you may receive your first adjustment on that same visit.
We’ll discuss a treatment plan tailored to your condition and goals.
During a chiropractic adjustment, you may hear a “popping” or “cracking” sound which is actually the release of gas (primarily nitrogen) from the joint capsule — called cavitation. In broader terms, the adjustment is intended to restore proper motion to a joint, relieve pressure on nerves, reduce inflammation, and improve alignment. After the adjustment, your body may feel more relaxed as nerve interference is reduced.
